Who am I?

Where I started:

In my early to mid twenties, I studied Business Administration Management and then Construction Engineering Technology at NAIT. It didn’t take long to realize that these areas were not where my passion lies.

Fast forward a couple years and I met my amazing wife Noriko and her 3 year old son Cypris and these two together are the light of my life.

In 2008, after obtaining my first personal fitness training certification (purely to increase my own personal knowledge because I had such a love for physical fitness), I jumped on a fantastic opportunity to work as a personal trainer, doing something that I knew I loved. I hadn’t been training for long when I had my first real “light bulb” moment; the moment when I realized what I wanted and needed to do. I realized then that my passion was not just for fitness, but for helping people to look and feel their absolute best.

So where does photography fit in?

Several years ago, I decided to pick up my old hobby of photography to help with creating content for my personal training business. It didn't take long for that to turn into an obsession. I spent hundreds, if not thousands of hours studying, learning and honing my skills. I am a perfectionist. I love detail. I love how photographing people so intimately intertwines itself with my passion for helping people look and feel their best. For me, photography is the perfect combination of art and science. I just love how there is always more to learn and explore.
